daph: i looovvveeeee! really does resemble an owl XD if u could make one i would sooo buy it off from you. i love the colourscheme. nice nice. great work! speed painting yes? would have loved to see a bit of definition in the eyes coz u wanna have a real strong focal point in ur artwork.

mh: wa different style from u this week! i like ur choice of colours XD maybe if u made the red a bit dark it would have been nice (but this is personal preference) and did not use a drop shadow underneath the mask.

natasha: ooooooo interesting! i like this style, could have played around with it a bit more so it will look more fluid.

kell: not much i can say coz it's WIP, but so far so good XD

y'ng: ooohhhh i like! looks rough/dirty but based on ur comments that is probably the look ur going for XD ohh, maybe you can try a different types of style for the lips instead of having a black outline to define the shape.

@May Hooi : This would make a nice bookmark actually :) I like the swirls and how you've made it in two colours. The mask on the face is not where it should be though seeing as it's a 3/4 view, the bridge of her nose would be further to the right.

@Nat : I agree vector's cool for these sorta thing too. I've found the pencil tool in Illustrator quite nice to use once I've got the hang of it. Specially the feature where it automatically joins lines together :)

@Kelly : Looking forward to seeing how you're gonna pull this through! Looks mysterious :)

@Y'ng : Nice touch, I like the slit eyes :) Maybe add a bit more shadow to the top of the head since that's where the light seems to be coming from(?). I feel the mask could use more shadow though, although currently it looks like a soft flap that clings on your face kinda mask.

@Sara : Aww thanks Sara! There's a few nice ones on dA too but I'm not sure it will turn out the same way if it were real XD Will keep in mind to draw on the eyes more. It's kinda speed painting I guess, less then and hour for that :P

@Daph: WHOOT! Your fast painting has improved! I love the owl mask design. Agree with Sara about the eye. Anyways, can't comment much cuz it's speed painting. But would love if you could add more highlights on the mask to bring out the form nicely. XD

@Mh: your vector art is awesome! love the background & hair. But i need to know, is the face facing front or 3/4? The mask area looks a lil bit off. ^^;

@Nat: LOL! Same color like MH, but dif style. Nice! Only i hv a prob with the background, feels weird. Maybe it could the gradient & the texture at the back mixing together. Will be nice if you can either do one of them. But that's just me. XP

Good observation, the mask does follow the owl's eye shape. Excellent choice of color, brings out this vintage feel. Shiny ornaments give good contrast. I agree with Sara, some sharper details round the eyes would make it the overall artwork pop XD
