A superhero that represents me? Don't think there's any. I live a life in denial and constant weirdness enough to not need to save anyone else at the same time :D What struck me as odd is that the thing that people remember about me is my quietness... so tada! Made my own.
Meet Quies (Latin translation for Hesychia Greek goddess/spirit of quiet, rest, stillness)
Megan Quinones was a quiet shy girl that had always been a loner with her head stuck in the books. As stories mostly go, she's forced to move to a new and different place where kids see her as the easy target. Unaccustomed to the bullying, she develops powers! How? Maybe it was a secret experiment that she was involved in a blank part of her memory. Her powers are mostly psychological, tricking the minds eye into interpreting the five senses differently. Affected people usually find the sudden silence in their surroundings quite startling.
Character development as I write. Visual inspiration from Emma Frost of X-Men :) Thought I'd test the light comic book colouring.

Introducing the Superheroes @ Work!
Here we have Dinosaur (that's what my colleagues calls me) who only knows how to eat and get hungry at 10.30am sharp everyday~
And then we have Ms.Hello Kitty hero who is basically the multi-tasker in the office who does almost everything *salutes*
And lastly Ms.Accountant who is battling with bills and numbers and headaches and etc....
There you go, 3 superheroes! oh i forgot to mention, im the one in dinosaur suit :D

Let you all know that this is only a sketch version. Cuz i honestly don't hv time this week. But i will definitely post up a colour version of this later on along with the new theme.
It took me a long time to figure out what kind of superpower i will have if I'm a superheroine. Had a long dam list of it. In the end I found myself closest to having superwarrior attributes like extraordinary strength & agility, plus also a strategist. I made her costume simple cuz I like simple stuff & it suits her nicely. ^^
I relate myself close to this power cuz that's who I am. Whenever i set a goal, I'll make sure I'll get it no matter what. I'll smash through watever walls or barrier that comes in my way. And I do lots of planning on how to get things done.
Note: Btw, Athena is a name of a Greek Goddess of War & Wisdom.

Nobody knows her real name, as she never divulged her personal life, but locals named her after the Greek Goddess of mercy, Eleus.
Her aim is to give sustenance towards those who needed it the most, whether they be poor or abandoned.
In her possession is a double-winged white oak staff, where most of her powers come from. She can use it to stir dirty water into drinkable water for those who are thirsty, or she can use it to stir up a pot of stew for the hungry.
She also uses it to fly to those who are in need. She has a sixth sense within herself that tells her where she needs to go.
Erm... Yeah that's about it at the moment. didn't put much thought into it hahahaha.

Okies I'm commenting first! I know almost half the members hav not hand up for this theme. But i really do wish so very much that you'll finish up all the missing themes that you've not done by the end of this year ya. I wanna see GOLD SKULLS PPL! XDDD
@nat: LOL! understandable that you're very busy so I'm thanking u for still finding time to do this. Good try on the anatomy but i feel torm's waistline looks a little off. I like the effort that you put in for the shading & maybe you could darken some parts of it to make it look better. XD
@daph: Ooo! this looks like a new style to me. LOL! i noticed we love greek gods somehow. I like her cuz she does represent you a lot esp your quiet nature. Hmmm... i feel that the outline and the realistic colouring somehow doesn't match nicely. Maybe it's just me. nonetheless this is still the best piece in here. ^^
@kelly: Welcome back gurl! Hope everything is alright there with you. I really love to see a new style from you! Love her hair esp. She looks a lil bit on the skinny side so maybe you could work on the body anatomy a bit. btw, well done on the texture of her clothing. XD
@mh: Awwww! CHibi heroes!!! SOOO CUTE! Didn't know you're the dinosaur. Can i call u 'Dino' then? Would like to see a colour version of this. XP
@myself: Will do the colored version later on.
@sara: I really applaud you for this artwork dear! A huge improvement of your human body. Simple & nicely done! The colouring is just sooo u. Could work a lil bit of the shading & lighting. But overall, this is GREAT! *^^*

looks like everyone is getting really busy. more and more pencil sketch this time (including me!!)
@Nat: Great work for a last minute work. at least u took the effort to do some shading (unlike mine, just outlines hehe)
@Kelly: Nice drawing. i know it's last minute work too but i can see that u put effort in all the tiny little details. if only the girl can hold a weapon (something like cardcaptor sakura) that would be nice and more hero-ish xD
@Daphne: 1st thing that caught my eye is her eyes. looks so sweet and beautiful. i guess the whole simplicity of the drawing automatically draws the attention to the eyes *-*
@Yng: Nice skecth u have there. cant wait to see it in colour version!
@Sara: Simple and nice. wish you could add more shading details to the hair :D

@Nat : Nice simple shading, but your lines seem funny to me. Particularly the lines that curve around the bust and the crotch area. For instance, the curve under the bust should not meet directly the curve of the rib cage under it. Also, that's a wide crotch :P
@Kell : Nice costume, but I think I did mention that she looks a bit melancholic to me a hero :D Reminds me a bit of horror. Like May Hooi said, a cute weapon would have lifted the spirits a bit.
@Mine : Perhaps a bit plain a costume, but it represents?
@May Hooi : Adorable office heroes :D Will you be colouring this one soon?
@Y'ng : Ahaha strong character for a strong personality eh. Anatomically it looks fine, though she seems a bit chunky on her right side especially the armpit and the calf of the pointing leg.
@Sara : I'm seeing a lot of Greek influence in your character :) However, the first impression of her was more towards Hermes, the messenger god what with her costume and staff. Look up his staff and you might see what I mean. I'm a little confused with the angle of her legs and on closer inspection, cant tell which is the right and which is the left >< Though elegant the pose, the arm is also too long. Nice idea though :)

mh: cute as always XD i love your colourscheme, also very "sweet". the moon really resembles a banana for some reason hahaha, that's what makes it much cuter XD I think if u develop more this idea, u could be better. one day maybe you can just sit down and play with it more, and have fun with it!
nat: why am i not surprised XD i like the feel of it, i could tell ur rushing, so cannot comment a lot technically coz i know ur busy. but good effort! looking forward to seeing something more refined once ur not that busy one day XD
y'ng: why am I reminded of yin's innaguy Reeis? LOL. nice speed painting! XD looked like u put a lot of time on it when actually u didn't haha.
daphne: i like!!! i can see u started to add more colours into the skintone, now it doesn't look so monotonous. and it really looks like her, so good job XD

reeis: OMG I LOVEEEE THISSSS i didn't know who Dream was, but THIS IS NICE OMG i love the colour scheme and the simplicityness of it. i also liked how you put your mind into composing ur pic. i would have liked that Morpheus moved to the left of the frame a bit more, so we can see the ends of his cloak (or whatever is at the end of his cloak haha). but great job!! :D

Daphne: the greek influence was accidental :P and i didn't really know of Hermes until you mentioned it hahaha. will look it up. yeah, for the anatomy i tembak only. i didn't use reference :( will use references next time i guess, sigh.
kelly: yesss omg human anatomy is my biggest weakness >____< hope i will have more time one day so i can study it properly....

Somehow I get the feeling you love the Greek mythos alot XD excellent coloring, really brings out the form. The character's face really does resemble you! Did you refer to your own photo when you did this?
Quies and Sara's heroine can go save the world together since both of y'alls got such strong Greek themes going on.
