So, after much "conceptualizin
This took me easily 3 hours because the damn shield is so hard to look right TAT I officially hate gradients and will stay far away from it as I can, for now. meh.

As sisters, we always "share" things...
If there's a cute teddy bear, we will "share" it...
If there's only one cookie left in the jar, we will "share" it too....
We will "share" the best seat right in front of the TV...
When it comes to cakey, we "share" it too...
We "share" everything nice...

It occur to me that most people don't know what I do for a living. When they asked and I reply "I am a compositor for a 2D animation company.", they would go.. "oh.. so what do you do/compose?". XD; and I find it really hard to explain it all to make them understand.
Therefore, for this theme I decided to demonstrate my "job" as a compositor. And I am sorry cuttles, but this time I will be straight forward with the theme instead of having an "inner meaning" inside and straight forward with the camera angles ne? XD Alright, so as you all can see.. this is probly how you see an anime/animation
It looks flat doesn't it? And a bit weird too. So then I will render out each layer (yes, each and every freaking layer!) from the scene and i will re-arrange them together again in my video editing software. (in the office i use Shake but for this one I use After Effects and Final Cut Pro). Then I will follow the mood of the story. Let's say this is suppose to be a warm sunset scene where these 2 guys are fighting over 'if the tooth fairy really exist..' (LOL) and I will do my best to make it look and feel like they are washed in sunset light. So I am the person who adds in all these 'realistic' details into the scene to make it believable and look presentable.
There's still more things of what I do in my job, maybe I'll demonstrate again when I have the time and inspiration :) so please enjoy what i have for now~ in the mean time I'll continue being experimental LOL!
(For this art I used photoshop for the BG and flash for the characters. Tutorial for BG i got it from: http://www.cgar
PS: Thanks Sara for the could tutorial help! X3
It was a really good topic and a generous amount of time, but there was just too much going on right now that I will only say one on one.
Anywhoozle! Finally had time to sit for one whole day just sketching and planning and painting and scrapping and finally ended up with this =) Not as epic as I had in mind, but I hope you guys like it.
6+ hours of detailing you can't see (even at the max set size) and I think the boys face angle still kinda sucks. This is not a speed painting by the way, need to find peace of mind and time to knuckle that practice down.
Ps: Good grief, someone remind me to tape next painting =_= I keep forgetting to do that video thing. Thanks Reeis!

Title: Synn Chastity The Angel Reaper
Duration: 10 hours 50 minutes (including research & study)
Software: Photoshop CS3
This is definitely a very different style compare to my previous cuttle work. Thanks my super-duper busy CNY week, I actually almost forgot to do my cuttle work. Only realize it last Sunday midnight. So due to short of time, I decided to go for only Black & White.
The character I took from my 3D character modal. You can view my blog for more character description & modeling: http://yyngartb
Synn Chastity is the younger twin of the Synn Sisters. Their job is to hunt down angels who defy god's order & execute them. The giant scythe that the Sisters wield are actually demon scythe which has the ability to detect angels in disguise as human on Earth. I decided to do the younger twin instead of the older twin cuz I needed time to learn cloth colouring.
For this artwork, I used a lot of reference from Marvel & DC comic books that I borrow from my sifu. I took quite some time to study up the human proportion & body movement. I tell ya it was bloody hard! I only used one normal solid brush (no airbrush) with opacity: 10% and flow: 100%. Then just apply burn & dodge tool. Originally, there's no background at all. But finally decided to just add in to give a better view/perspectiv
Despite the long hours i spent for this artwork, this is actually a rush one. I only got time to do it after midnight cuz I was practically out almost whole day from morning till night. So I had to spend 3 midnights to finish it. However, I admit that I enjoyed doing this artwork a lot cuz it's really challenging for me to do proper human proportion + body movement & it also sets another level for me. So YAY!
Note: I notice majority of the super heroines has BIG boobs. So I just can't help but hv Chastity with big boobies too. XD

Everything went wrong while I was drawing this. Had to fight everything from illness (yes, sick again) to time finish it.
Based on a Native American legend I love. Check it out here (http://www.firs
So, this illustration shares the inner battle that happens within me every time I sit down and draw. Doubt vs. Inspiration; Time vs. Smarts; Poor Skills vs. Persistence; etc.
Been this way since High School, and been losing badly. I'm finally winning back.
If you wish to comment, just let me know if you can feel the movement in the misty creatures above the artist. Thanks. Good Night.

I had fun with this theme.. And because we had 2 weeks to do it I kinda got abit too carried away. My original Idea was just supposed to be a battle scene between 2 characters but it expanded to 8..:P
This week I decided to have fun with it and just have a straight forward interpretation of the theme. The classic and epic clash of Good vs Evil.So I came up with 8 characters based on the many RPG's, anime and comics we have read.
Each character took about 3 - 4 hours to complete. I still need to work on the anatomy..damn fingers and legs!!
Well hope you guys like it..
Here is just a brief description of the Heroes
From left to right
Stephan the Dragon Knight
Scarlet the Elemental guardian (Fire)
Madori the Flame Ranger
Eve the Summoner
PS : Stephan's weapon is his sword that he can engulf in fire and control. I got the idea from a character in Bleach Rangiku Matsumoto whose sword or ZanpakutÅ can transform into ash which the she controls.
Eve summons Scarlet...i wanted at first to draw Eve summoning a guardian angel but thought that that would be too common so I made her guardian a bit more aggressive and edgy..You see her flames are so hot that even she needs to wear a blindfold..haha
Here is just a brief description of the villains.
From left to right
Samuel the Wraith
Rose the Dominatrix
Drakar the Demon Knight
Krul the Assassin
PS : Samuel was a fluke. He wasnt supposed to be in the roster but i was just messing around with shading and the and i kinda liked how he started to look so i developed and designed him further.
Rose was inspired by a game i used to play on the PC years ago. Dungeon Keeper. In it there is a character/creat
Krul was the 1st character i completed. After completing all the character and placing them in the battle arena I realized I should have done Krul facing the heroes instead of facing us. But i didn't have time to adjust it..oh well.

As you can see, yesh a super duper simple art from me. 2wks makes no difference to me XDXD
Actually craps have been happening in one go so...sorry for the bad work
-- Submitted byKelly
It looks... okay as a thumbnail, but I'm gonna outright say that I did a bad job with this. The colours are quite bad and in order to finish this on time, I rushed so many details and a lot of things are missing here, oops... I'm sorry that I have to hand up an 'unfinished work' here but I'll try to experiment more with this behind the scenes.
Either way, I decided to pull out some of my original characters to portray a battle scene; below are the protagonists and up in the sky are their opponents who are a pair of powerful twins. There's more story behind this but I personally won't go beyond because I'm a bit disappointed with this pic to 'brag' about it. ^_^;;
Ah if you're wondering, the twins are holding huge axes. Eeyeah, told ya this is a messy pic...

Another speedy coloring~ i gots exams soon~
Neeways, my old character made anew. Since it was a suitable theme to redo an old character i think; why not? xD
February 25, 2010 at 4:08 AM
@sara:This is really nice! I esp love the way u do the crack on the heart. Perfect shading too! yeah, it's understandable that not many can do battle scenes but it will be great if u can give it a try one day. ^^
@mh:Wahahaha! this is sooo cute! the description is so contradicting with the artwork. (purposely wan right?) The only set back I hv is the ppl behind. I think without them is better. But that's just my opinion cuz the two girls fighting for the bear is alredi strong enough to present the message. XD
@daphne: Me luv the idea & clouds sooo much! But i feel that you should aso do the other cloud warrior head, it looks a bit weird without it. As for angles I think it will improve eventually if you keep practicing. Maybe you can adjust the boy (in purple shirt) head smaller. Overall, this is really nicely done. ^^
@nat: Thank u sooo much for describing your 'Job', now i got a clearer picture of a Compositor. i love the background environment! thanks again for sharing the links!(TQ Sara too). The only thing I'm concern is the guy jumping on air cuz I can't see his body movement properly, is he jump front or back? Plus the guy on the ground, his left hand is kinda short. I think adding more detail outline will make the characters look clearer. Overall this is great improvement from you! XD
@reeis: OOOO! I see some improvement here esp your human proportion. Only a lil adjustment, her right arm is a bit long as well as her left leg. Add more details for your misty creatures, i think it will look splendid if you do. I would like you to improve this style further, cuz i see something great coming up from it. ^^
@andrew:I hv to applaud you for your enthusiasm for coming out soooo many characters in your artwork. I think you alredi know about your human proportion & body movement so I'll leave it. Hmmm... the only thing i could comment is the villain side. It's hard to see the character properly cuz of the blackness. Maybe you could outline or add highlights at the edge. Use dodge tool, it helps greatly. I think that's about all. Love your characters! my fav is Krul the first character that you showed me, I think she's the most interesting among the others. XD
@kelly: LOL! i hv to agree with you on the message "battle with time" cuz there's always not enough of time. This artwork is really dif from your previous ones. I guess this isn't your best ones right? Maybe you could add colour on the girl (just like the clocks) cuz it's really hard to spot her in a black background. Oh well, hope to see a better one for the next theme.(your theme btw). ^^
@maiki: I really don't think u did a bad job on this. Cuz i feel that this perspective is kind hard to do in my opinion. I like this so far although it's unfinished. Only needs detailing. Btw, wat is the pink hair girl holding? I seriously hope you will finish this cuz this is really interesting & pls do tell me the the story. I'm dying to know. XP
@adam: Oooo! Is she an alchemist? The markings looks like the one from FMA & Kuroshitsuji. It will be nice if you hv 2 character so that it looks like like a battle mode scene. This is nice I admit but i don't really see the message behind it. It looks like a character design instead. ^^;
February 25, 2010 at 11:38 AM
@sara: Wow i like the gradient and shading that you did..Rarely see this style from you but its really good. The whole image looks like a clan emblem..Nice..Just maybe the sword and shield can be lowered abit cause i keep looking at the empty space at the bottom..But maybe that's just me.
@mh: Wah to turn a theme that can be violent into something this cute is a real talent..haha I really like this style of yours. Just the people in the background look kinda weird..like i dont know if they are children or adults..:P
@daphne: I think it looks pretty epic cause of the perspective and the clouds. But i cant really see the shape of the other clouds besides the warrior one.Its like a mirror image of an adult version of the 2 boys right?
@nat: Cool job. Thanks for the info and links..You really know how to set the mood eh..:P..Nicely done and demonstrates the importance and impact the background and colour scheme can have on the final outlook..Just the blond guy kinda looks like he tripped..but my anatomy drawings suck so I cant really comment..haha
@reeis: Wah cool link!! Nice story behind it but it looks unfinished..I think maybe more detailing on the spirit wolves? The human also looks abit stiff..
XD
@kelly: Oooo totally different style this time.Hmmm i think the girl doesn't stand out enough..maybe making her lighter?
@maiki: Ooo Nice nice..I didn't think it was a bad job..No way i can draw that kind of perspective..And the characters look really interesting. Just i wish I had a better view of the twins cause they look cool but I cant really seem them in detail..But I think it look fantastic.
@adam: Wow I love the mystic circle on the floor..Very cool..The background seems abit dull though..And is it just me or is there some boob action going on!! hahaha
@Y'ng: AHHHHHHHHHH I LOVE THIS..SO AWESOME!!Synn Chastity looks like a total bad-ass chick..I LOVE IT..And I love the expression on her face.At first I thought she looked scared or something then I read the character profile you did on your blog and found out she is the more merciful one so the expression fits her personality perfectly!! Nice job..The only 2 critique is I just wish that you didn't cut off the weapon.Would have been cool to see the whole shape of it and not have it cut off at the side...And I don't know if its just me but like she looks like she is looking behind the guy and not at him..I don't know if that was what you wanted..BUT I JUST LOVE THIS PIECE!!
February 25, 2010 at 12:14 PM
AAAHH OOPS the pink-haired girl in my artwork is supposed to holding a sword but I obviously forgot to draw that in, hahah... So much for rushing!
@Sara: I love this, it's so clean! Great Illustrator skills you have! ;3;
@MH: Hahahah I love what you did with the descriptions here! XD
@Nat: Wow that's interesting finding out about your job! :O I think you did a good job with the 'compositing' for your own artwork too.
@Daphne: Aaww, I can get a certain feeling out of this artwork, like "heart-warming" cross "epic"... so hard to describe! Either way, I like the low-angle you used for this!
@Y'ng: EPIIIICC!! I love the composition for this! It's cool you put last efforts into add a BG but kinda sad the BG just faded away in the back like that. Just adding a little grey on the buildings to give 'shape' to them could make them look better. :)
@Reeis: Agreed with Y'ng that you're improving! So sorry to hear you've gone through a lot, the inner battle for you must have been hard too. I think you did a good job!
@Andrew: So much effort put into this, bravo! :D Although, the colors do clash a bit, with there being too much black.
@Kelly: Thumbs up from me just because the girl has emohair ufufufu 8DDDbb *slapped* Anyway, I like the idea of the pic and how you portrayed it!
@Adam: Ooh underboob. :P Cute character design but it's just... that, I guess?
February 26, 2010 at 12:18 PM
ahh just realized i forgot to remove ying comment about mine when i commented on others....SHY SHY!!!
February 26, 2010 at 12:25 PM
Shit hit the fan for almost all of us it seemed.... Even with 2 weeks :D
**Comments**
@Sara : A heartfelt theme and a good composition :) I'm wondering how it would look like with just one broad sword pointing straight down instead of the two. You might want to experiment more with your lighting because the source of it seems a little... ambiguous. The rim of the shield also seemed to have missed it's shadow. All in all it's great but no harm in experimenting more.
@May Hooi : Adorable illustration, though it seems a little plain. Perhaps if the background was illustrated in the same way your parents and older sister are done, it would make it less "white" :)
@Nat : Nice explanation :D I find it hard to explain to people to when they ask, "What is design?". Seems to encapsulate a lot of things =_=
I think you did the background quite well even with tutorial. And there's nothing very noticeably wrong with the fighters, cept proportion and an extra joint on the top guys stretched out arm :P It's nice to see what you do, so looking forward to your next installment of "How I do my job" lol!
@me : Sooo much wrong here...
@Y'ng : Very nice! There's a lot more energy in this submission than your previous ones and that's great! Hope you can continue injecting that vibe into your future works :) Figure wise, Chastity's body and head look great, but her arms and legs could use more tweaking. Foreshortening can be quite hard at certain angles. I'm just not entirely convinced of the curve of her legs at that angle. Your scythe also needs the 3/4 angle in line with Chastitys body :)
@Reeis : I really like the shading you've done in this one. Specially for the table and pants. Floating artist ftw :D However, it seems the shading did not fully compute in the creatures movements. I do get a little of the energy that's happening there, but it's not as fluent. If you're going for misty, the white creature is doing well but the red one, not so. I'm thinking the red one could use a few more layers of brushing between the shape of its body and the outer glow. Maybe try some streaks of white on the rims?
@Andrew : Very good illustration this time. I'm glad you had fun and got carried away :D You've got good character design going on here though it seems like a fight between mortals and Evil instead of Evil and Good, if you know what I mean. Red isn't normally used for the good guys unless it's more of a reluctant good :) Your poses for the evil guys are great, but not so much for the good guys. For the guy in gold, the angle of his body suggests that he is lunging forward a little and that would need his front leg to bend at the joint. I think a dark floor beneath the characters would more complete this image too.
@Kell : CNY week was full of unwelcome surprises wasn't it :D A lot for me too
@Maiki : The background and angle are nice. The positions of your characters seem a little scattered. I'm not gonna comment much because you seem to know already what's missing and what's wrong :) Haha low-angle shot is quite hard isn't it?
@Adam : She's missing the other shoulder and her clothes seem a little iffy because her right hand seems to be coming out from under her shirt, not from a supposed sleeve on the other side of that jacket. Proportion wise, I'd try to keep the limbs at a similar length. Your style might include shorter thighs and longer calves and ankles, but it does not compute when her left calf is longer than her right :) Did you draw those spell circles?

@Y'ng : Thanks! D'oh, I can't believe I didn't pick up on that huge head! For some reason I wanted to make this a really wide picture that didn't fit the other guys cloud head :P But yes point taken, will update on that.
@Andrew : Yep it is. Like a premonition between childs play and the conflict between what's innocent and deadly :) I will include other guys head in if need be updated. Thanks!
@Maiki : Thank youuu, I'm glad you felt something of it :P Low-angles are a killer usually when the chin is involved =_=.

*pops up from a sea of books* sorry i cant post a comment now, running out of time. If you guys read this, can you pass on the message to sara that i pick "skates" for next week's theme, k? Thanks~ Off to revision~! *dives in a ton of books*
March 1, 2010 at 5:10 PM
Hi guys!
I wont be able to comment yet. Alot of work in my schedule and praticing to do too. Will comment when im free.
Till then~ thank you for all of your comments on my work~!
March 2, 2010 at 4:23 PM
Yo, Reeis here, getting some comments in.
@Sara: Excellent job on the shading, and thanks for the link. Don't give up on Gradient's yet! You're real good at it XDDD Bet you were talking about Pat Benatar's "Love is a Battlefield".
@MH: ...that teddy bear has a leaf on its head...can it be Kelly?! o_o Lol! I really love the implied sarcasm here. Good twist to the theme. Agreed, ppl in background need work.
@Nat: Excellent background and motion blurs. I agree with the others on the Anatomy of your fighters. Really, really love the background and the sunset tint. Thanks for link! Will try it out soon XDDD
@Daph: I actually saw something like that in the sky the other day, awesome feeling, so I get the emotions you were aiming for in your pic XDDD I second the opinions they've mentioned above, the knight in the cloud need work. But, Kudos! this angle IS tough. Think I've got a tutorial for it somewhere in my bookmarks. Will pass to y'all when I find it. Also, thanks for linkies XDDD
@ Y'ng: EPIC! You've got a good, raw feeling in this image! XDDD I like the background. Can see your command on perspectives are improving from the buildings. The blending on the dark haired angel struck me as pretty good, I like the way it shows off the jaw structure. Want to see more dynamic pieces like these from you. Is her pelvic bone/hips supposed to be that big though? bigger than her shoulders o_o
@Myself: If this Flicker account issue isn't resolved soon, will move my works to another account. They've not responded to my emails or review my account til now. Oy...
@Andrew: Awesome job, man! Good to see you producing so many characters. Background is good in this piece. Appreciate Need to work on your villains, they don't mesh together as well as the good guys. Drakar and Krul seem to be looking at the camera while everyone else is about to launch an attack on the opponents XD;
@Kell: Interesting composition. I like the combination of colors and the floating feeling this piece has. Need to see the girl pop out more. Don't stretch yourself to thin at work, K?
@Maiki: The moon and clouds are great, sets a sense of movement in this piece. Think u can do without the big...obstacle course wall there. Try angling twins downwards - head-first towards the ground - can show off huge axes that way. Good job on character design! It fits the Japanese RPG character mould well.
@Adam: More background story on the character, pls? XD The sigil looking things look cool. Think a different colored background can bring them out more. The motion in the girl's motion is good, and yeah, like they said, anatomy needs work.
I you might want to exaggerate the subject's anatomy, but keep in mind these exaggerations need to be consistent to be considered a style.
@Everyone: Think we both need to find ways to "cheat" to save some time in completing our illustrations. And suggestions?
March 2, 2010 at 4:35 PM
>>>Responses
@Y'ng: Thanks! Been working on the artist's anatomy. Will correct the right hand, planning to re-do this piece. yes, those misty things need to be re-done. Need to see if adding details to misty animals make them less, well, misty, or not.
@Andrew: Thanks! XD which part looks stiff, by the way?
@Maiki: Thanks mate... hope that I chased away the bad mojo by completing this artwork XD;
@Daph: Will try your suggestion about the white streaks on the red ones. Thanks! The tutorial link you sent answered a few value/shading problems I had with this piece.
March 2, 2010 at 5:27 PM
@Reeis : Thanks!! And yeah I agree that some of the characters could have been improved but didn't have time..Cause remember I said I made the fatal mistake of drawing each character separately so when I placed them together some didn't really blend in well..Like Krul..I should have drawn him facing the opponents instead of the viewers..Will definitely plan properly next time..haha
Damn the bigger thumbnail is unavailable..When I looked at her the tilt of her head to me made her look abit stiff..
March 3, 2010 at 12:03 AM
@Yin: Thanks for the comment! About the hips being big, most superheroine has big hips. Did a research & study on it. Mine is a voluptuous vixen, so her breast & hips has to be big & wide. Actually if u see the bigger version, it's not really that big cuz of the chains, belts & the scarf on her skirt that made her hips big. ^^;
March 3, 2010 at 10:43 PM
before anything, sorry my comments are late and sorry but it will be brief coz i am not feeling well... ><"
@sara: love the simplicity is this one. the idea concept is what makes this work stands out.
@mh: u have a talent for turning violent thgs cute! u really shocked me with this XD it was unexpected yet expected of u LOL
@daphne: on my mac screen i cant really see much of the shape of the clouds coz its too bright white. maybe they need more shadows to show the shape more.
@ying: ur drawing is always awesome but i wished u had more time to do the bg :) that'll be so cool!
@reeis: like the metaphoric idea here~
@andrew: i see u like making characters and that's really good! yet i feel like u gave more attention to the bad guys than the good guys in this art lol, correct me if i am wrong XD'
@kelly: i have to strain my eyes to see the girl.. the fat man! XD
@maiki: yeah compared to ur previous works this does look totally last minute. yet u have such interesting characters and i love ur camera angle!
@adam: looks like the girl is posing but not in a battle ^ ^'
March 4, 2010 at 11:27 PM
Okies! Adam, Kelly, May & Sara still haven't commented yet. I know you're very busy so I trust all not to forget ya. ^^
March 5, 2010 at 11:07 PM
sorry for the late comment :p
@Sara: Great work with the smooth gradient, u made it really look so metal-ish, i know its not easy to adjust the gradient in illustrator..so *clap clap* for u :)
@Me: I ran out of time to draw the people in the background haha <--- excuses
@Nat: O_O woahh..this is awesome. at 1st look i thought it belongs to Maiki (well since her artwork always tend to look like a real scene for anime :p) like the whole sunset feel. *thumbs up*
@Daphne: Nice drawing and colouring as usual. The clouds are not that obvious, couldnt see what it is at 1st look (maybe this was done on purpose?)
@Yng: I really like this piece. This is totally different from your previous works, doesnt look stiff anymore, can feel the energy in it. Keep it up, u are finally getting rid of the stiffness..woohooo. btw, the girls waist is sooo small haha, i mean wayyy tooooo slim o_o
@Reeis: Nice effect with the wolves. (Cant see the close ups) nice idea :)
@Andrew: Cool~ i bet u put a lot of effort in this, with so many characters inside. the smudge effect is cool but too much of it tends to swallow the characters
@Kelly: LOL... now this really looks like last minute work. not your best one of cos, your previous last-minute-work doesnt look like last minute work...this one shows obviously!! xD haha
@Maiki: Dammit :p u can create your own anime and manga already xP
@Adam: Well, although its speedy colouring, it still looks decent (and better than mine >.<) me like the round thingy (whatever u call it) below her feet, looks cool :P btw, good luck with exams
pheww..thats all, did i miss anyone? xD
March 7, 2010 at 10:11 PM

Feels very animated, looks very maiki style XDXD
The color & mood is just nice. Thanks for the link to the background. (am soo

Daphne:......Damn!! thoese clouds n characters r sure nice! Im soo speechless
that i dont know what to say.But i think the cloud on the right doesnt show
a warrior that clearly. But other then that *thumbs up*
Y'ng: Your photoshop coloring is simply amazing. Im alwez stunned with it.
i can feel the power in there! thou its only black & white. Ur character
are amazing!!
Reeis: i cant see the close up of your drawings thou. But i think your spirits
seems kinda harsh n stiff. Dont really feel the flow thou. and OMG ure floating!! XDXD
Andrew: WOAH!! WHOAH!! 2wks does pay off on your side (unlike me XP) I can
feel the battle in here~!I can see u put alot of effort in this, the details on
the characters are nice esp on the evil ones. The red thingy
on the background~ LOved it!! This can sure be a desktop wallpaper o poster print outs.
GOOD JOB!!

@@May Hooi: wahahahahaha cute! i feel like something is missing tho, coz the white just feels a little overbearing. but otherwise, really cute illustration!!
@Nat: O_O HOMGWTF NAT!!! nice one!! ur getting better!! XD i love the background, so nice! and the characters look really nice too. i really thought you didn't do it actually XD hahaha! nice work sis!
@Daphne: oohhhhh very nice! i love the clouds. maybe you could have tried just having the clouds make up the outline of the two swordsmen and show a bit of blue sky, but that's just my taste i guess XD i also noticed that your skin tones are like monotonous a bit, perhaps you can research on how to infuse a bit more colour into it? there are just minor details, otherwise this is really really nice! :D
@Y'ng: whooaaaa y'ng!! this is a really nice style for you! you should go with it!! :D i noticed you are also drawing in 3/4 for the characters, which you can see makes a huge difference by easily giving the characters a sense of depth. the guy on the right-hand side however is still side-view, and his face looks kinda flat still. don't worry, i know you'll get better in time! :D it's not wrong for u to do side-views, just that i know it's a lot harder to make them look like they have depth and not so stiff.
@Reeis: I love this colouring style! so pastel-y... mmm. about the movements of the wolves, it's almost there but you can take it another step further =D just go crazy with swirls and stuff!
@Andrew: i love your choice of colours!!! wow!! :P you're right about anatomy-wise, so i won't comment on that, just wanna cheer u on and work on ur anatomy =D but really, if you could nail that, i think you'd be very good! keep it up!
@Kelly: it's ok, this is definitely not crap!! i actually think this is nice! XD it would be nicer if there was different thickness in lines, or at least more thick lines to give things more contrast.
@Maiki: *jaw drop* i love this!! this definitely does not looked rished to me. i have no critique for this XD; i guess if i really have to be picky, i would say u could darken the shadows on the two characters on the left, or at least add a gradient to act as a shadow =D
@Adam: O_O i should not be looking at this.
but anyway! i really like the character design. her outfit could be more detailed since this could be classified as character design =D i don't really like your choice of colours tho for some reason. maybe for the background? can try to play around with a few colours, or even better, use a colour scheme that has colours that compliments each other =D
